First stop was Acapulco.

This is where the cliff divers jump into the water from 310 ft. high. We saw about 7 of them take the plunge at night. The younger, less experienced ones dive from lower points from the top. The very bright light, top right, is a shrine where they pray before diving. We were told that occasionally there are injuries like a broken bone if they don't jump out far enough.

Happy Day

Al and I went to the local nursery today because he wanted to buy an apple tree which he did. It's a Gala. But I got a purple wisteria tree. Of course it doesn't look like this mature one and it's still bare but I can hardly wait till spring to see what it's going to do.

Hablo espanol

Today I got a chance to use my Spanish at the WalMart pharmacy. A man handed a med bottle to the cashier and she thought he was there to pick up a prescription but there wasn't one. She asked him if he was picking it up or leaving it to be filled. He couldn't understand her so she went to the pharmacist who came and asked him the same thing. He was blank so I just stepped in and asked him and got the time he wanted it and relayed it to the pharmacist. They appreciated my help.

I suggested that they have common phrases written down and translated so they could point to what they wanted to say. I doubt it will happen.

Birth Day

Well, I spent my birthday yesterday blowing my nose, breathing Vicks Vapor steam, and in other ways trying to get over a head cold. I did sneak a dish of soy ice cream which really didn't taste so good. And, now I have completed 68 years of life.

More Christmas

Almost every morning these crows are in our front yard making racket.

This is as close as Wendy got to visiting us this Christmas.
