Reflections
I recently finished reading Jeremiah on the heels of Isaiah and found them very similar. The Lord sent these prophets to warn His people of impending disaster because they weren't obeying Him and they were serving other gods. Instead of welcoming the warning and shaping up they tried to get rid of the messengers to the point of trying to kill them. Jesus was a prophet in His own right and He also gave plenty of warnings to the people of His day as well as to us. His own people killed Him. Does any of this sound familiar for today? Ignoring the warnings and trying to eliminate the prophet will not change the outcome. Whatever the Bible says will happen will happen regardless of whether we accept it or believe it.

So true, Donna. I think about how the Bible says the end time will be "as it was in the days of Noah," everybody just going about their business, not paying attention to the signs and the impending disaster. It will take so many by surprise, including me to some degree.
I just got done reading Zechariah and just began Malachi. Similar reactions.
